About Me

Hello, I'm Julie Bodman

I’m a compassionate, down-to-earth ADHD coach who offers practical, encouraging support for children, teens and adults. I was diagnosed with ADHD myself in 2025, so I understand first-hand how ADHD can affect focus, routines, confidence and daily life and I bring that lived understanding into coaching that is warm, structured and realistic.

My coaching is backed by recognised ADHD-specific training. Coaching with me is not about “fixing” anyone, it’s about understanding how your brain works, building on your strengths and creating simple systems that genuinely fit your life.

Understanding ADHD

What is ADHD?

A different way the brain manages attention, energy and impulse, not a lack of ability.

Common Challenges
  • Starting tasks, keeping focus and finishing
  • Organisation, time-blindness & forgetfulness
  • Emotional regulation and overwhelm
  • Confidence knocks from being misunderstood
Often Overlooked Strengths
  • Creativity, curiosity and problem-solving
  • Hyperfocus on meaningful interests
  • Energy, humour and big-picture thinking
  • Resilience and empathy

Coaching is a non-clinical, skills-based support. It complements (but doesn’t replace) medical or educational advice.

Kids & Teens

Working with Children & Teens

Safe, encouraging, 1-to-1 sessions designed for younger minds.

My priority is to make sessions feel safe and positive. Expect friendly language, visuals, and bite-sized activities. Parents are partners in the process: you’ll get simple tools to support progress at home.

  • Gentle structure with fun, practical tools
  • Clear strategies for schoolwork and routines
  • Confidence-building through strengths
  • Optional parent check-ins

Many families notice calmer routines, fewer homework battles and better self-esteem within a few weeks.

I am a registered member of Scotland’s Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and hold appropriate safeguarding clearance to work with children and vulnerable adults. I maintain professional standards, appropriate insurance, and ongoing professional development to ensure safe and ethical ADHD coaching support.

FAQs

FAQs

Quick answers to common questions.

Do I need a diagnosis?

No. Coaching is skills-based support and can help with ADHD-like challenges whether or not you have a formal diagnosis.

How long are sessions?

Most sessions are 45–60 minutes. Younger children often do best with shorter, more frequent check-ins.

Is this therapy?

Coaching is not therapy or medical treatment. If needed, I can work alongside your clinician or school.

In-person or online?

Both are available. Many families prefer online for ease and consistency.

If you’re unsure whether coaching is right for you, book a no-obligation discovery call in the portal.
